HGV Driver | Drainage & Tanker Operations | Environmental Services | Full Training Provided
Location: Brize Norton, Oxfordshire
Salary: £39,500 per annum
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 5:00pm (1-hour lunch)
Working Pattern:
Regular travel throughout Southern England, including 3-4 nights away per week

We are recruiting an enthusiastic and reliable HGV Forecourt Services Engineer to join a specialist environmental services team operating across some of the UK''s largest fuel retail, forecourt and distribution networks.
This is far more than a driving role. As an HGV Forecourt Services Engineer, you will combine HGV operation with specialist environmental and drainage services, supporting major fuel retailers, commercial clients and distribution centres. You''ll gain valuable technical skills, receive industry-leading training and become part of a highly respected team delivering essential infrastructure and environmental services.
Whether you already have experience within drainage, environmental services or industrial cleaning, or you''re an experienced HGV Driver looking to learn a new trade, full training and ongoing development will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
Forecourt & Environmental Services
- Deliver specialist environmental and forecourt services across fuel retail and commercial sites
- Carry out:
- Drain cleaning and maintenance
- High-pressure water jetting
- Interceptor cleaning and servicing
- Tank cleaning and maintenance
- Forecourt drainage works
- Reactive environmental response works
- Support planned and emergency projects across customer locations
- Diagnose and report operational issues while recommending effective solutions
- Operate HGV and specialist tanker vehicles safely and professionally
- Complete daily vehicle inspections and compliance checks
- Ensure vehicles, plant and equipment remain clean, compliant and operational
- Report vehicle defects and maintenance requirements
- Comply with all transport legislation and company procedures
- Follow all health, safety and environmental procedures
- Work in accordance with RAMS and safe systems of work
- Identify and report hazards, incidents and near misses
- Maintain high standards of PPE and site compliance
- Promote a positive safety culture at all times
- Build positive relationships with customers and site representatives
- Provide updates regarding works completed and recommended actions
- Complete service reports and job documentation accurately
- Act as a professional ambassador for the business
- Support wider operational teams where required
- Participate in emergency response and reactive call-out activities
- Support operational teams during environmental incidents
- Travel and work away from home regularly as required
- Contribute to service improvement and operational excellence initiatives
Essential Criteria:
- Full UK HGV Licence
- Strong commitment to health and safety
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Practical and hands-on approach to work
- Strong problem-solving ability
- Flexible approach to travel and overnight stays
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Desirable Criteria:
- ADR Licence
- Drainage experience
- Tanker driving experience
- High-pressure water jetting experience
- Industrial cleaning experience
- Environmental services background
- Utilities, civils or infrastructure experience
- Forecourt maintenance knowledge
- Experience working within hazardous environments
