Location: Leicester | Salary: £50000 - £53800/annum Pension, Healthcare | Type: Permanent | Our client is looking for an experienced HGV Fitter/Plant Mechanic (Afternoon Shift - flexible start time). You will be required to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults across HGV's and Trailers. Complete inspections, servicing and preventative maintenance Diagnose and repair complex faults Repair/replace engines, transmissions, brakes, Attend breakdowns - phone diagnostics, roadside and customer sites Maintain accurate job sheets, inspection reports and parts records Communicate clearly on repair progress, timeframes and parts needed Follow all company safety procedures Suitable candidates will have: 4+ years’ experience as an HGV and/or plant mechanic IRTEC certification Welding/fabrication skills Knowledge of hydraulic systems, LOLER and hooklift (RORO) equipment Strong work ethic and reliability Willing to learn and develop Positive, proactive approach High attention to detail Team player with a desire to grow This role is within a progressive company where training and development is available.
