HGV Fitter

Personnel Solutions is seeking a skilled and motivated HGV (Heavy Goods Vehicle) Fitter to join our client in Sheffield. In this vital role, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining the heavy-duty vehicles to ensure optimal safety, reliability, and performance.

• Up to -60k + Overtime over 40 hours
• Monday to Friday 7am - 5pm
• Saturday 7am-12pm

Duties

• Service, maintain and repair HGVs and commercial vehicles
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults
• Carry out inspections, servicing and preventative maintenance
• Complete MOT preparation work
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with DVSA standards
• Accurately complete job cards and maintenance records
• Minimise vehicle downtime and support operational requirements

Requirements

• Previous experience as an HGV Fitter, HGV Technician or Commercial Vehicle Technician
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a busy workshop
• Class 1 (C+E) licence desirable
• IRTEC accreditation would be highly advantageous
