HGV Fitter/ mobile fitter

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled HGV Fitter / Mobile Fitter to join our team. This role involves performing maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on heavy goods vehicles and mobile plant equipment at various locations. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical and electrical expertise, with experience in fabrication, welding, and using hand and power tools. Responsibilities Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on HGVs, and other mobile plant equipment. Diagnose faults using schematics and electrical diagrams; perform necessary repairs or replacements. Fabricate or modify components as required, including welding Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out repairs, assembly, and maintenance tasks. Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company standards. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs undertaken. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repair status and recommendations. Requirements Proven experience in heavy vehicle or mobile plant repair, Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment.
