HGV Fitter | LGV Mechanic | Fleet Technician | HGV Technician | Vehicle Technician | Heavy Vehicle Mechanic | Commercial Vehicle Mechanic

We are recruiting for a leading company in the Construction and Civil Engineering sectors. They require an experienced HGV Fitter to maintain and repair a fleet of LGV and HGV vehicles to meet Operator Licence requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair HGVs and associated equipment
• Prepare vehicles for annual tests and MOTs
• Road test vehicles to certify roadworthiness
• Complete accurate documentation and defect reporting
• Carry out inspections within required timeframes
• Work efficiently and cost-effectively on repairs
• Comply with Health & Safety policies and procedures

Requirements

• Strong knowledge and experience of HGVs and associated accessories
• IRTEC certification essential
• Knowledge of Safe Loading Working Devices
• Ability to service, diagnose and repair specialist equipment
• NVQ preferred but not essential
• HGV licence preferred but not essential

Hours and Pay

• 7:30am to 5:00pm
• Minimum 45 hours per week
• Flexibility to work outside normal hours when required
• -45,00048,000 per year plus overtime
