RL31992HGV Fitter Ridham, Sittingbourne, Kent 18- 20 p/h Alecto Recruitment is working with our client in the waste and recycling sector to find an experienced HGV Fitter to work in their workshop.About the Role:As an HGV Fitter, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of their fleet by maintaining high standards of workmanship in the servicing and repair of their vehicles, trailers, and related equipment. You will be responsible for diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs, and conducting preventative maintenance checks to ensure fleet vehicles are operating at peak performance. This is a full-time, permanent role with opportunities for growth and development within the company. Key Responsibilities:Vehicle Inspections and Diagnostics: Carry out regular inspections of fleet vehicles, trailers, and associated equipment to identify faults, defects, and wear. Use diagnostic tools to test systems and components.Repairs and Maintenance: Dismantle, overhaul, repair, and reassemble faulty components as required. Conduct emergency call-out repairs when necessary.Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine servicing and preventative maintenance checks to ensure vehicles remain compliant and operational.Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of repairs, services, and inspections for each vehicle and trailer in line with company policies.Road Testing: Test vehicles on the road to assess performance and ensure all issues are resolved.Safety Compliance: ..... full job details .....
