HGV Driver

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Grays area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 2 Drivers to join the team.

Shifts:-

• Run across Monday to Sunday (weekends included)-

Hours:-

• 01:00am starts
• 13:00pm -15:00pm starts

Pay Rate:

Class 2

• Afters - -15.86 per hour rising to -16.61 per hour after 12 weeks PAYE
• Nights- -17.10 per hour rising to -17.80 per hour after 12 weeks PAYE

Class 1

• Afters - -17.22 per hour rising to -17.92 per hour after 12 weeks PAYE
• Nights - -19.12 per hour rising to -19.87 per hour after 12 weeks PAYE

The role:
-

- Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to couriers or collecting them from delivery units.
-

- Handling runs, focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork.
-

- Drivers may be required to assist with loading and unloading of the vehicle using a tail lift and pump truck.

- Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.

Requirements:
-

- Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C).
-

- Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
-

- No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
-

- Full understanding of WTD legislation.
-

- Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.

- Excellent communication skills.

- A safety-first mindset.
