Job Vacancy: Class 1 & Class 2 HGV Drivers

Pay Rates:

• Class 1 Drivers: -17.45 per hour
  
  
• Class 2 Drivers: -15.48 per hour
  
  

Shift Availability: Mornings, afternoons, nights and weekends

About the Role

We are looking to recruit as many reliable and hardworking Class 1 and Class 2 HGV drivers as possible to support our growing operational requirements.

The role involves driving-box vehicles only, with duties focused on unloading. There are no loading responsibilities associated with this position.

We are looking for flexible drivers who are available to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, nights and weekends.

Pay Rates & Shift Enhancements

• Class 1: -17.45 per hour
  
  
• Class 2: -15.48 per hour
  
  
• Afternoon shifts: 10% pay enhancement
  
  
• Night shifts: 20% pay enhancement
  
  
• Weekend shifts: 30% pay enhancement
  
  

Shift enhancements are subject to the applicable shift and pay arrangements.

Important: Pay rates are determined by the driving licence held, not by the vehicle being driven.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate box vehicles in accordance with road safety regulations.
  
  
• Carry out unloading duties as required.
  
  
• Complete vehicle safety checks before and after journeys.
  
  
• Follow all site procedures and health and safety requirements.
  
  
• Maintain a professional attitude when dealing with colleagues, customers and site staff.
  
  
• Ensure all relevant driving and delivery documentation is completed accurately.
  
  

Please note: This role involves unloading only. Drivers will not be responsible for loading vehicles.

Requirements

• A valid Class 1 (Category C+E) or Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
  
  
• A valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (Driver CPC), where required.
  
  
• A valid digital tachograph card.
  
  
• A safe, responsible and professional approach to driving.
  
  
• Flexibility to work mornings, afternoons and weekends, with night shifts also available.
  
  

Paid Assessment

All prospective drivers will be required to complete a paid assessment lasting approximately four hours. This will allow us to assess driving ability, safety awareness and suitability for the role.
