HGV / LGV DriverSalary: Competitive Hours: Full-time, with evening and weekend work as required Location: Cranbrook We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV / LGV Driver to join a busy transport and logistics operation. This is a varied role involving local and long-distance deliveries, vehicle checks, loading and unloading, and ensuring goods are transported safely and efficiently.You will work both independently and as part of a team, so we are looking for a reliable, self-motivated and safety-conscious driver who takes pride in completing deliveries on time and maintaining high standards. The RoleAs an HGV / LGV Driver, your responsibilities will include:Driving commercial vehicles including rigid vehicles, articulated lorries and trailers, as appropriate to your licence.Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects immediately.Safely loading, unloading and securing goods.Completing local and long-distance deliveries and collections.Planning routes and driver breaks in conjunction with the transport team.Liaising professionally with customers and suppliers regarding delivery times.Completing all delivery paperwork, logbooks and tachograph records accurately.Monitoring traffic conditions and adapting routes where necessary.Carrying out basic vehicle checks, including oil, tyres and brakes.Following all relevant road safety requirements and the UK Highway Code.Working safely in a range of conditions, including busy traffic, poor weather and night ..... full job details .....
