HGV Driver

GPH Builders Merchants are the largest independent Builders merchants in the North of Scotland operating from 4 locations across Aberdeenshire.Due to expanding our delivery service, we have a vacancy for an experienced Class 2 Lorry Driver to join our transport team operating predominantly across the North East of Scotland. We operate Monday to Friday 7am - 5pm, and work locally, so you''ll never be far away from returning to base.The successful candidate will be transporting a wide range of construction materials to construction sites, business premises and households. The business operates a modern fleet of vehicles and require a driver with a high level of care for their own safety and that of our customers. We are looking for drivers who are used to dealing the customers and have a warm, friendly and helpful manner. Responsibilities Operate HGV vehicles safely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations. Deliver goods to designated locations, maintaining accurate delivery records. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and functionality. Manage flatbed loads securely, adhering to weight limits and safety standards. Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered. Maintain a clean driving record and uphold company policies at all times.
