Job Overview
Green Light Recruitment are seeking a dedicated, experienced and skilled HGV 1 driver to join our clients logistics company in Huddersfield.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely from our clients depot in Huddersfield and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries to stores across the UK.

This role requires a strong commitment to safety and customer service, as well as the ability to operate box trailers and possible curtain siders.

Monday to Friday 0600 starts
Weekend work available (Optional)

Duties

• Drive HGV1 to transport clients goods to designated locations, ensuring timely delivery.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
• Trailer swaps ensure safety of load.
• Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies while driving.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on the vehicle and report any issues promptly.

Experience

• Valid HGV/CE 1 Licence
• Minimum HGV 1 experience of 12 months
• Ensure all cards are in date Digi, CPC and Licence
