HGV Driver (Class 2)

Edge Transport are looking to recruit a HGV Class 2 Driver to join our busy local haulage team.45 contracted hours per week. Hours are managed over the reference period and any excess hours will be paid at the standard rate .You''ll be driving one of our well maintained vehicles, all of which are under 5 years old.You''ll also be eligible for: Staff discount scheme - includes discounts at MandS, Sainsbury, Tesco, Argos, Ikea, Currys PC World and more Plus little extras like free fruit in the office, staff socials and working with a great team !Applicants must hold a HGV Class 2 licence (with no more than 3 points) and have more than 1 years Class 2 driving experience as well as a full CPC in order to apply for this role. Ongoing CPC training will be provided. Duties overview: Completion of regular vehicle, loading and safety checks. Delivering to businesses and private addresses. Acting professionally and safely at all times whilst out on the road representing Edge. Achieve target fuel efficiency and manifest route timescales. Maintain a safe and clean working environment - on the road and within the warehouse. Keeping allocated vehicle clean. Act responsibly to ensure food product quality, safety, and legality. Report any issues of damage, defects, near misses and non-conformances. Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and on time.
