Job Description: Job Specification: HGV Drivers (Class 1, Class 2 and 7.5 Tonne) Ad-Hoc Work Location: B12 Area Sector: General Haulage Contract Type: Ad-Hoc / Ongoing Overview We are seeking reliable and professional HGV Class 1 (C+E), Class 2 (C), and 7.5t (C1) drivers to support ad-hoc general haulage requirements within the B12 area. This role suits drivers looking for flexible work, varied assignments, or additional income alongside existing commitments. Key Responsibilities Carry out general haulage deliveries and collections. Operate vehicles safely and in line with all road transport and company regulations. Perform daily walk-around checks and report any vehicle defects. Accurately complete delivery notes, paperwork, and tachograph records. Provide a professional and courteous service at all delivery and collection points. Follow all relevant driving legislation, including Drivers Hours Regulations and the Working Time Directive. Requirements Valid HGV licence (Class 1, Class 2 or 7.5t). Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card. Experience within general haulage is preferred but not essential. Strong communication and time-management skills. Flexibility to accept ad-hoc and short-notice shifts. Pay Rates Class 1: £16.00 £21.00 per hour Class 2: £14.50 £19.00 per hour 7.5 Tonne: £13.50 £17.00 per hour What We Offer Competitive hourly rates depending on licence class and shift type.
