HGV Driver - Class 1

HGV Class 1 Driver Mpeople Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Driver to join a reputable and growing business based in Oldham (OL8) on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a varied role combining nationwide deliveries, customer interaction, vehicle demonstrations, and warehouse support. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering vehicles and equipment throughout the UK while providing a professional service to customers. Location Oldham (OL8), with travel throughout the UK. Salary and Benefits £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, dependent on experience Overtime paid at time and a half Overnight stay allowances Extra day off for your birthday Annual leave entitlement increasing with service Early finish on Friday + additional employee benefits Hours 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, flexible start times depending on delivery requirements. Typical starts between 4:00am and 8:00am with early finish on Fridays (approximately 2:00pm 2:30pm) Responsibilities Driving a 3.5 tonne box van and 40 tonne Volvo HGV with trailer across the UK. Transporting and delivering small to medium-sized electric vehicles and equipment to customer sites nationwide. Working closely with the sales, warehouse and office teams to coordinate delivery schedules and routes. Operating a counterbalance FLT to move and load equipment.
