About the Role

Pertemps Newcastle is recruiting an HGV Driver – Class 1 / C+E on behalf of Northumbrian Water, based at Tees Dock Road, Middlesbrough. Pertemps are recruiting on behalf of Northumbrian Water for an experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Tipper Driver based at Tees Dock Road, Middlesbrough.

The Role
As an HGV C+E Tanker Driver, you will be responsible for transporting sludge products from Northumbrian Water's sewage treatment works across the North East to treatment facilities.
Key responsibilities include:

Operating HGV Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently
Ensuring compliance with Driver Hours Regulations, Working Time Directive and O-Licence requirements
Carrying out daily vehicle inspections and defect reporting in line with DVSA standards
Maintaining a clean, safe and compliant vehicle at all times
Safely loading and unloading tanker equipment in accordance with Northumbrian Water Health & Safety procedures
Promoting and supporting the "Everyone Home Safe Everyday" culture
Driving in a fuel-efficient and environmentally responsible manner
Delivering excellent service whilst representing Northumbrian Water professionally

What We're Looking For:

Full HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence
Minimum 12 months' Class 1 driving experience
Valid Driver CPC qualification
Valid Digital Tachograph Card
Good understanding of EU Drivers' Hours Regulations and Working Time Directive
Strong commitment to health, safety and compliance
