Salary: £31,000 Hours: 7am - 4pm Key Accountabilities:   Ensure load is safe and secure and loaded in appropriate order for drops Check to ensure safe distribution of load. Strap, secure and sheet load correctly before any journey commences. Carry out vehicle maintenance checks and ensure vehicle is roadworthy Complete defect forms and hand in daily. Keep vehicle clean and tidy. Ensure any defects identified are corrected without any undue delay. Always drive in a safe manner and adhere to current driving legislation Plan breaks to maximise use of driver’s hours. Understand and stay abreast of changes to the highway code, the working time directive and the requirement of drivers’ hours. Always check tacho is in the right mode and hand in regularly. Respond to any issues raised from tachograph reviews. Make deliveries efficiently ensuring customers’ requirements are met and deal with any problems as they arise Plan route to meet customer requirements and make drops in the most efficient way.
