HGV Class 2 Tipper Grab Driver

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 2 (Category C) Tipper Grab Driver to join a reputable waste management company based in Southampton. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity for the right candidate, with the chance to join the team on a permanent basis after 12 successful weeks. As a tipper driver your role will be critical to ensure the successful completion of there projects primarily daily duties would involve collecting and delivering materials in the area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate the HGV tipper vehicle safely and efficiently to complete scheduled deliveries and collections.
• Ensure that all vehicle checks, maintenance, and safety protocols are adhered to before, during, and after each shift.
• Maintain accurate records and complete all necessary paperwork related to vehicle inspections, deliveries and collections.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers, providing excellent service at all times.
• Comply with all legal and company regulations, including driving hours, safety, and environmental policies.

Requirements:

• Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
• CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous experience operating skip lorries (advantageous but not always required).
• Strong commitment to health and safety standards.
• Physically fit and capable of handling manual tasks.

Job Details:

• £14.00 per hour, with overtime potential.
• Monday - Friday, 6:30 AM – 5:30 PM (Saturday work required on a rota basis with overtime pay).
