Job Title: HGV Class 2 Refuse / Recycling DriverLocation: RG24 Basingstoke Shift: Monday to Friday, 06:00 - 14:30 Contract Type: Temporary / Ongoing with a chance to go permanent Salary: 16.83Role OverviewWe are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to support refuse and recycling collections in line with contract requirements. This role involves operating collection vehicles, completing designated routes, and working as part of a team to maintain high service standards within the community.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out scheduled and reactive refuse and recycling collectionsOperate vehicles and associated machinery safely and efficientlyComplete daily routes in line with schedules and agreed proceduresAdapt routes to accommodate traffic, road closures, weather, and operational changesUse in-cab technology/mobile devices to record work in real timePerform daily vehicle and equipment checks, reporting any defectsMaintain cleanliness of vehicles and machineryEnsure all waste is safely transported and disposed of at designated sitesComplete all required documentation, including weighbridge tickets and waste transfer notesAdhere to all Health and Safety procedures and safe working practicesWork collaboratively with colleagues and communicate effectively with supervisorsProvide excellent customer service when interacting with the publicMaintain a professional and presentable appearance at all timesRequirementsValid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licenceDriver CPC ..... full job details .....
