HGV Class 2 Driver – Ongoing Work (St Albans)

Location: St Albans

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 06:00 – 16:00

Pay Rate: £17.00 per hour (£21.50 per hour after 8 hours)

We are currently recruiting reliable HGV Class 2 Drivers for ongoing work based in St Albans. This is a long-term opportunity subject to successfully passing a driving assessment.

The role involves delivering palletised tiles using a rigid Volvo or DAF vehicle. You will be required to use a tail lift and powered pallet truck to complete deliveries.

⚠️ Please note: This role is physically demanding. Drivers must be physically fit and capable of handling the nature of the work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate Rigid Volvo / DAF vehicles
  
  
• Transport and deliver palletised tiles
  
  
• Use tail lift and powered pallet truck for loading and unloading
  
  
• Complete deliveries accurately and on time
  
  
• Comply with all road safety and company regulations

Requirements:

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
  
  
• Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling duties
  
  
• Experience using tail lifts and powered pallet trucks
  
  
• Ideally DHL assessed (assessment/training can be provided)
  
  
• Reliable, punctual, and professional
  
  
• Good communication skills
