HGV Class 2 Driver - Join Plymouth City Council''s Commercial Waste Team!

Location: Plymstock, Plymouth (PL9)
Contract: Temporary position, July - August 2025, with the possibility of extension (subject to departmental needs and service requirements)
Pay Rate: £15.08 per hour
Hours: 37 hours/week | Monday to Friday | 06:00 - 14:30

Are you an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver looking for a rewarding role that makes a real difference in the community£ Pertemps is proud to be recruiting on behalf of Plymouth City Council for dedicated drivers to support their Commercial Waste Team this summer.

What You''ll Be Doing:
- Driving a mixture of 26 Tonne, 12 Tonne and 7.5 Tonne bulky waste collection vehicle on scheduled routes across Plymouth
- Assisting with commercial and bulky waste collections
- Delivering excellent customer service while maintaining safety standards
- Supporting the team as a loader when required to meet service demands

What We''re Looking For:
- A valid HGV Class 2 licence, CPC, and Digi Tacho
- Previous experience operating HGV vehicles
- Good local knowledge of the Plymouth area
- A flexible, team-focused attitude and strong communication skills
- Reliability and commitment to the full work schedule

Additional Info:
- All successful candidates must attend a mandatory induction and driving assessment
- Start dates will be confirmed following successful completion of the assessment
