About the Role

Pertemps Crewe is looking for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join a distribution operation in Warrington, WA5. This temporary role pays between £16.23 and £24.21 per hour under PAYE, with both AM and PM shifts available on a structured rota that includes weekend work. Duties involve completing store deliveries along a set route, handling chilled and perishable goods, performing up to six drops per shift, and using roll cages to unload items into store areas while meeting scheduled time windows. Candidates need a valid Class 2 (Category C) licence and reliability for consistent, ongoing work.

We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable HGV Class 2 Driver to join a busy distribution operation based in Warrington with assessments as soon as this week!
This is an excellent opportunity for drivers looking for consistent, ongoing work with a structured rota. Shift will cross over weekends also.
Duties Of The HGV Class 2 Driver:

Completing store deliveries across a designated route

Handling chilled and perishable goods with care

Carrying out approximately 6 drops per shift

Using roll cages to unload deliveries into store areas

Ensuring all deliveries meet scheduled time windows

What We’re Looking For In The HGV Class 2 Driver:

Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence

At least 6 months’ Class 2 driving experience

Up-to-date Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card

Clean and safe driving record (no major endorsements)

Pay & Details:

£16.23 per hour (PAYE)

Overtime paid at £24.21 per hour after 48 hours

Start times vary between AM (0100-0500) and PM (1400-2100)

Average shift length of around 12 hours

Regular weekly shifts with a consistent rota all year round
