HGV Class 2 Driver / Installer

Driver Hire Uxbridge are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Driver on a Temp to Perm basis. Our Client are a specialist carrier for banking and computer equipment across the UK and Europe.

£17.51 per hour depending on experience (including holiday pay)

07:00AM to 15:00PM Monday to Friday, occasional weekends and overtime so flexibility is a must! You may be required to stay overnight for some deliveries 

All-round Duties:

• As a Class 2 Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism
• Complete deliveries and installation of electronic equipment - Full knowledge and training given so you can best assist in the final part of the installation process
• Manual handling of heavy electronic equipment – this role is very physically demanding.
• Complete deliveries correctly and efficiently, in a professional and timely manner
• Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details and address any concerns or issues
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, including checking fuel levels, tyre pressure, and fluid levels
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations

Requirements:

• Valid UK CAT C manual licence for at least 2 years with no more than 6 points (no DR DD TT IN or MS90 endorsements)
• Valid CPC and TACHO
• At least 1 year HGV Class 2 driving experience (references required)
• Have more than 90 days appropriate driving experience (Cat C) in the past 12 months
• Physically fit, as some jobs require lifting and shifting
• Excellent verbal and written English skills to interact with customers and team members
• Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards
