HGV Class 2 Driver

Job Title: HGV Class 2 Dustcart Driver
Location:-Bedford
Salary:14.73 per hour increasing to -15.39 after 13 weeks (Monday to Friday). Overtime -22.10 per hour increasing to -23.08 after 13 weeks.
Hours:-Monday to Friday, 6am start, 37 hours per week

My client, a well respected local authority, is recruiting for-HGV Class 2 Dustcart Drivers-to join their team in Bedford. This is an excellent opportunity for professional drivers seeking secure, long term work with clear progression on pay and benefits.

As an-HGV Class 2 Dustcart Driver, you will play a key role in supporting local services by carrying out waste and recycling collections safely and efficiently. Drivers may also be required to assist with loading, so a flexible and team focused approach is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Driving a-HGV Class 2 Dustcart-across local collection routes

• Ensuring all waste and recycling collections are completed safely and on schedule

• Assisting with loading duties when required

• Following health and safety procedures at all times

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Previous dustcart driving experience is desirable

• A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence

• CPC and Digital Tachograph Card

• Good knowledge of Bedford and surrounding routes is an advantage
