This HGV Class 1 role in Bolton offers £18.49 to £21.75 per hour on a full-time, temporary contract through Rapier Employment. Drivers deliver to regional distribution centres and retail stores, with store drops involving unloading via tail lift and mechanical handling equipment. Manual handling forms part of daily duties, alongside routine vehicle checks. Shift patterns are flexible: day starts fall between 0400 and 0900, while night shifts begin from 1500 to 2100. Candidates need a C+E licence held for at least twelve months, plus three months of commercial driving experience for insurance purposes. Rapier Employment are currently seeking an HGV Class 1 driver for our busy client in Newark. This role will be long term ongoing for the right candidates.
This role does require some manual handling.
Responsibilities will include:
- Delivering to RDCs and stores. (Nights RDC’s only)
- Stores deliveries will be unloading using tail lift and MHE equipment.
- Vehicle checks
- Shift patterns to suit.
Days
- Days between 0400 – 0900
- £18.49ph Monday to Friday
- £20.66ph Saturday
- £21.75ph Sunday
- All rates are PAYE
Nights
- Nights: 15:00 – 21:00 starts
- £19.57ph Monday to Sunday
- £20.66ph Saturday
- £21.75ph Sunday
- All rates are PAYE
The ideal candidate.
- Held your HGV C+E licence for at least 12 months
- You must have at least 3 months commercial experience for insurance purposes
- “Can do” attitude
- No DR10’s No CD10’s No IN10’s - NO MORE THAN 6 POINTS
- Digital Tachograph Card and CPC qualification
