About the Role

This position is for an HGV Class 1 Night Driver based in Tinsley, offering £17.00 per hour on a full-time, part-time, or temporary contract. Pertemps Sheffield seeks drivers for regular, ongoing work with a leading logistics provider. Your duties will involve a mix of trunking between RDCs, store deliveries, and direct RDC-to-store runs. You will perform pre-shift vehicle checks, manage delivery paperwork and PODs, and uphold professional customer service. Adherence to Driver Hours, Working Time Directive, and tachograph regulations is required, alongside site health and safety protocols. Applicants need a valid Category C+E licence, Driver CPC, and Digital Tachograph Card, plus a minimum six months' Class 1 driving experience.

Pertemps Sheffield is currently recruiting HGV Class 1 Night Drivers for regular, ongoing work with a leading logistics company.
The Role

Monday to Friday
Night shifts starting between 2:00pm and 6:00pm
Regular ongoing work
A mix of trunking between RDCs, store deliveries and RDC-to-store deliveries
Complete vehicle checks before each shift
Ensure all delivery paperwork and PODs are completed accurately
Maintain high standards of customer service and professionalism
Comply with Driver Hours, Working Time Directive and tachograph regulations
Follow all site health and safety procedures

Requirements

Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
Valid Driver CPC
Valid Digital Tachograph Card
Minimum 6 months' Class 1 driving experience
No more than 6 penalty points (no DD or DR convictions)
Good knowledge of Driver Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
Reliable with a professional attitude and excellent communication skills
Successful applicants will be required to pass a driving assessment before starting work.
