About the Role
As a Class 1 Driver in West Thurrock, you will undertake trunking operations between Royal Mail depots, moving mail across the national network. This full-time, flexible role offers £21.44 to £24.57 per hour on a temporary, ongoing basis. You will follow pre-planned routes without handballing, focusing solely on safe, professional driving. Responsibilities include completing thorough vehicle inspections and upholding rigorous safety standards. Morning, evening, and weekend shifts are available to suit various schedules. - Complete vehicle checks and uphold top‑tier safety
- Follow scheduled routes with precision
- Represent Royal Mail with professionalism on every run
- Valid HGV Class 1 / C+E licence (held for 1+ years)
- A valid and in date CPC + Digital Tachograph card
- 180+ days of Class 1 driving experience in the last 2 years
- Max 6 points on your licence
- Able to pass vetting & DBS checks
- Excellent pay: £21.44-£24.57 p/h (shift dependent)
- Guaranteed minimum daily hours
- Weekly pay, holiday accrual & pension (PAYE)
- Option to secure preferred shifts after assessment
- Onsite parking & canteen facilities are available in most Depots
