HGV Class 1 Driver Location: Croydon Salary: 53,000 per annum Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent Working Pattern: Minimum 10-hour shifts, early starts from around 3:00am The Opportunity We are recruiting an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join an established recycling and environmental services business. The role will involve completing commercial collection routes, working independently while maintaining a safe, reliable and professional service. This would suit an experienced Class 1 driver who is comfortable with early starts, longer shifts and multi-site collection work, and who is looking for a stable permanent position with overtime available. The Role Your responsibilities will include: Completing scheduled commercial collection routes Carrying out daily vehicle and safety checks Ensuring collections are completed safely and efficiently Operating vehicles used for different types of commercial waste collections Working with collection equipment including RORO vehicles where required Reporting vehicle defects, route issues or operational problems to the Transport team Maintaining accurate paperwork and driver records Ensuring vehicles are operated safely and in line with relevant transport regulations Providing a professional service when attending customer sites About You Essential Valid HGV Class 1 / Category C+E licence Valid Driver CPC Valid Digital Tachograph Card Good understanding of drivers'' hours and road transport regulations ..... full job details .....
