This is a permanent position working predominantly with Freight Forwarding customers , completing collections and deliveries from shippers across the local and regional area. You will spend the majority of your time driving a Class 1 articulated vehicle , completing multiple collections and deliveries depending on the requirements of the day. Routes will vary, with the furthest regular journeys generally being Birmingham and back . The role will predominantly involve general freight, alongside a small amount of Dangerous Goods. This is also a hands-on driving position, and you will occasionally be required to move freight using a pump truck , so candidates must be physically fit and comfortable getting involved when required. Although the position is predominantly Class 1 driving, flexibility is important and there may occasionally be a requirement to drive a Luton van to support the wider transport operation.
