The driver will deliver to RDCs and stores, requiring manual handling of cages and tail lift work, alongside performing vehicle checks. Candidates must hold an HGV C+E licence for at least six months and possess three months of commercial driving experience. A clean licence with no DR10, CD10, or IN10 endorsements is essential. This ongoing role suits those comfortable with physical tasks and night driving.
HGV Class 1 driver - Nights

Rapier Employment are currently seeking an HGV Class 1 driver for our busy client in Darlington. This role will be long term ongoing for the right candidates.
This role does require some manual handling of cages and tail lift work.
Responsibilities will include:
- Delivering to RDCs and stores.
- Stores deliveries will be unloading using tail lift and cages.
- Vehicle checks
- Shift patterns to suit but a weekend shift is preferred.
Nights
- Nights: 15:00 – 21:00 starts
- £19.03ph Monday to Sunday
- £11.45 per shift uplift between midnight and 04:00
The ideal candidate.
- Held your HGV C+E licence for at least 6 months
- You must have at least 3 months commercial experience for insurance purposes
- “Can do” attitude
- No DR10’s No CD10’s No IN10’s - NO MORE THAN 6 POINTS
- Digital Tachograph Card and CPC qualification
