We are currently recruiting reliable and professional Class 1 HGV Drivers to join our a growing transport team for a growing business in the Castlewood area, easily accessible from areas of North Derby, Sutton in Ashfield and Chesterfield. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers looking for stable work, modern vehicles, and a supportive working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 1 HGV vehicles in accordance with road traffic laws and company policies.
- Complete local and nationwide deliveries and collections efficiently and on schedule.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.
- Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and electronic records.
- Provide excellent customer service at delivery and collection points.
- Delivering and unloading roll cages
Requirements
- Valid UK Class 1 (C E) licence
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Minimum 1 year’s Class 1 driving experience preferred
- Strong understanding of drivers’ hours and tachograph regulations
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude
Working pattern:
Thursday to Monday OR Wednesday to Sunday
Hours of work:
Ranging between 0300-1000, with early AM profiles on a weekend
Rate of pay: £19.06 basic / £26.03 overtime premium
