About the Role
The HGV Class 1 Driver in Avonmouth handles trunking routes and occasional store deliveries. This temporary position pays £17.00–£22.00 per hour via PAYE, with starts from 04:00, afternoons between 12:00 and 16:00, or nights from 18:00 to 22:00. Weekday and weekend rotations are available, offering some flexibility. Duties include performing pre- and post-trip inspections, remaining compliant with tachograph and working time directives, maintaining delivery records, securing loads, and following health and safety protocols. Applicants need a UK C+E licence, over two years’ experience, valid CPC and digi tachograph cards, knowledge of UK roads, and a maximum of six penalty points without DD/DR/IN/TT endorsements.

- Days: from 04:00
- Afternoons: 12:00–16:00
- Nights: 18:00–22:00
- Weekdays and weekends available (ongoing rotations with some flexibility).
- Mainly trunking route with some store deliveries
- Complete pre/post-trip checks; remain fully compliant with tachograph/WTD.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate with transport.
- Secure loads safely and follow site H&S.
- UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence, 2+ years’ UK experience.
- Valid CPC and Digi Tachograph card.
- Solid knowledge of UK road network & WTD.
- Max 6 points (no DD/DR/IN/TT).
