HGV Class 1 Driver- Nights

THE ROLE

Driver Hire Oxford is recruiting an experienced Class 1 (HGV) Driver on behalf of our client. Working with a distribution company where no day is the same!

This is a great opportunity for a reliable, safety-conscious driver to join a busy distribution operation, delivering a consistently high standard of service to customers across the region.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Safely operate a Class 1 HGV to deliver goods to customer sites on time and in full
• Carry out daily vehicle walkaround checks and report any defects promptly
• Complete all delivery paperwork accurately, including PODs and vehicle records
• Load and unload goods safely, using manual handling equipment where required
• Communicate professionally with customers, warehouse staff, and the transport office
• Maintain the vehicle in a clean and roadworthy condition throughout each shift

WHAT WE''RE LOOKING FOR

• Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) driving licence
• Current Driver CPC and digital tachograph card
• No more than 6 penalty points (no DR/DD/IN convictions)
• Minimum 12 months'' recent Class 1 driving experience
• Good working knowledge of drivers'' hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Reliable, punctual, and professional approach to work
• Flexible and able to work a variety of shifts, including early starts and weekends
