About the Role
As a Class 1 Driver in Milton Keynes, you will support Royal Mail’s nationwide trunking operations, moving mail between depots on planned, organised routes. This temporary, full-time position offers flexible hours across morning, evening, and weekend shifts, with pay ranging from £22.20 to £25.32 per hour. Your duties include completing thorough vehicle checks, adhering to strict safety standards, and representing Royal Mail professionally on every journey. 🚚 The Job
- Trunking between Royal Mail depots
- No handballing — just organised, planned routes
- Morning, evening and weekend shifts available
- Transport mail between national sites
- Complete vehicle checks and uphold top‑tier safety
- Follow scheduled routes with precision
- Represent Royal Mail with professionalism on every run
- Valid HGV Class 1 / C+E licence (held for 1+ years)
- A valid and in date CPC + Digital Tachograph card
- 180+ days of Class 1 driving experience in the last 2 years
- Max 6 points on your licence
- Able to pass vetting & DBS checks
- Excellent pay: £22.20-£25.32 p/h (shift dependent)
- Guaranteed minimum daily hours
- Weekly pay, holiday accrual & pension (PAYE)
- Option to secure preferred shifts after assessment
- Onsite parking & canteen facilities are available in most Depots
- Support from the onsite Pertemps team
