HGV Class 1 Driver

Job Summary We are seeking a professional HGV Class 1 Driver to join our small team, due to a valued member of our team retiring from driving.The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods, primarily using flatbed lorries. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers to utilise their skills in a dynamic and supportive environment. The ideal applicant will have previous driver experience and a strong understanding of driving regulations and safety protocols. Within our company we haul-Machinery, bales, loose straw and also general haulage, This role is mainly for delivering straw into power stations and also some general haulage, Experience is a bonus but training will be given if required to ensure the candidate is confident in their work, The lorry is a 2025 Renault T High 520 6x2 that we purchased new in October 2025.This is a Class 1 Nights out (tramping) job Duties Operate HGV Class 1 vehicles, predominantly flatbed lorries, in compliance with all legal and safety requirements Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and safety standards are maintained Safely load, secure, and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and adherence to weight limits Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery times whilst complying with legal driving hours Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle maintenance reports Follow all road safety regulations and company ..... full job details .....
