About the Role
As a Class 1 Driver - Greenford, you will undertake trunking operations between Royal Mail depots, moving essential mail across the national network. This full-time, temporary position, based in Greenford, offers a competitive hourly rate of £24.49 to £27.61. Your duties involve following scheduled routes with precision, performing thorough vehicle checks, and upholding stringent safety standards. No handballing is required, allowing you to focus solely on professional driving. Morning, evening, and weekend shifts are available, providing flexibility. - Morning, evening and weekend shifts available
- Transport mail between national sites
- Complete vehicle checks and uphold top‑tier safety
- Follow scheduled routes with precision
- Represent Royal Mail with professionalism on every run
- Valid HGV Class 1 / C+E licence (held for 1+ years)
- A valid and in date CPC + Digital Tachograph card
- 180+ days of Class 1 driving experience in the last 2 years
- Max 6 points on your licence
- Able to pass vetting & DBS checks
- Excellent pay: £24.49- £27.61 p/h (shift dependent)
- Guaranteed minimum daily hours
- Weekly pay, holiday accrual & pension (PAYE)
- Option to secure preferred shifts after assessment
- Onsite parking & canteen facilities are available in most Depots
- Support from the onsite Pertemps team
