Job Title: HGV Class 1 (Articulated) Heavy Machinery Delivery Driver Location: Dorchester, DT2 8PE Salary: £38,000 £44,000 (depending on experience) Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent About the Role of HGV Class 1 Driver G Crook and Sons are seeking an experienced and reliable HGV Class 1 (Articulated) Driver to join our team. You will be responsible for delivering heavy plant and agricultural machinery to sites across Dorset using our modern fleet of Volvo and Scania beavertail lorries and articulated units. This is a varied and hands-on role requiring specialist knowledge beyond standard haulage. Early morning starts are essential to ensure timely deliveries without disrupting site operations. Working Hours of the HGV Class 1 Driver Monday to Friday Saturday mornings as required Basic 45 hours per week Early starts required Key Responsibilities of the HGV Class 1 Driver Safely transport and deliver heavy plant and agricultural machinery Load and unload machinery, including excavators, dumpers, rollers, and telehandlers Complete daily vehicle checks and maintain accurate records Ensure correct use and operation of tachographs Accurately complete delivery and collection documentation Identify and utilise back-loading opportunities where possible Communicate effectively with Transport and Workshop Managers Follow all health and safety procedures and use PPE appropriately Key Requirements for the role of HGV Class 1 Driver Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) Licence ..... full job details .....
