Hgv Class 1 Driver

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate an HGV Class 1 vehicle, ensuring goods are transported to various locations.
• Perform regular vehicle checks, ensuring the truck is in good working order before and after each journey.
• Deliver goods to customers in a timely and professional manner, ensuring high standards of service.
• Comply with all relevant road safety regulations and company policies.
• Complete all necessary paperwork, including delivery logs, inspection reports, and fuel records.
• Assist with the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring all items are properly secured during transit.
• Manage delivery schedules and ensure prompt communication regarding any delays or issues.
• Collection and Deliveries on curtain sider vehicles.
• Start times varied - days, afternoons and evening shifts required.

Key Requirements:

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) driving licence.
• Digital tachograph card and CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence).
• Previous experience as an HGV Class 1 Driver is highly desirable.
• Good understanding of road traffic regulations and safety standards.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude.
• Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work flexibly, including weekends or night shifts, if required.
• A good level of physical fitness, as manual handling, may be required.
• Must have 2 years driving experience.
