HGV Class 1 driver

Overview We are looking for a permanent HGV Class 1 Driver, to start ASAP, preferably August 2026. 1 drop, no handball. Double deck trailer. 2am start. Monday to Friday.The position requires a dedicated individual committed to maintaining high standards of safety and customer service.Working for a very professional family wholesale business based in NG2 Nottingham. Duties HGV Class 1 lorry in compliance with all road safety regulations and company policies Deliver goods to specified locations in a timely and professional manner Ensure the secure loading and unloading of cargo, adhering to safety protocols Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify any maintenance or safety issues Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery notes and logs Maintain communication with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules and any unforeseen delays Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment at all times Experience Proven experience as a commercial driver, preferably with delivery driver background Valid HGV Class 1 licence with relevant driving experience Familiarity with flatbed operations is highly desirable Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving Ability to handle physically demanding tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in documentation and vehicle checksPay: £33,150.00 per yearBenefits: ..... full job details .....
