HGV Class 1 Car Transporter Driver
West Midlands | OTE £60,000+ | Full Training Provided | Permanent Role
Manpower is recruiting permanent HGV Class 1 Car Transporter Drivers for a leading vehicle logistics company based in the West Midlands.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Class 1 drivers looking to develop a career in vehicle transportation. No previous transporter experience is required, as full training will be provided.
The Role
As a Car Transporter Driver, you will be responsible for:
- Operating 11-car transporters across the UK
- Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently
- Completing vehicle deliveries and collections nationwide
- Carrying out vehicle inspections and reporting any damage
- Completing all relevant paperwork and compliance documentation
- Delivering excellent customer service at dealerships and collection points
Routes vary throughout the UK, covering locations from Cornwall to Scotland and across Wales, the Midlands, London and the South East.
Pay andamp; Benefits
- OTE of £60,000 per annum

Working Pattern
- Monday to Friday tramping
- Average working day of approximately 12 hours

- Weekend work is very rare and generally offered on a voluntary basis
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Driver CPC qualification
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Applications welcomed from both newly qualified and experienced Class 1 drivers
- Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
- Transporter experience beneficial but not essential
Licence endorsements and points will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Assessment Day
Successful applicants will be invited to attend an assessment day which includes:
- Company introduction
- Health andamp; Safety briefing
- Truck loading demonstration
- Hands-on vehicle loading assessment
- Question and answer session
- Refreshments provided throughout the day
