You will play a vital role in keeping our communities clean by safely operating refuse collection vehicles and supporting waste collection services across the borough. Key Responsibilities Safely operate and drive council dustcarts on designated collection routes. Carry out daily vehicle safety inspections and report any defects. Work closely with refuse loaders to complete scheduled collections efficiently. Ensure compliance with road traffic laws, health and safety regulations, and council policies. Deliver excellent customer service when interacting with residents and businesses. Maintain accurate records and complete required documentation. Requirements Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence. Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card. Good knowledge of road safety and vehicle operation. Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Strong communication skills and a positive team-working attitude. Previous experience driving refuse collection vehicles is desirable but not essential. Permanent
