We are seeking dependable and skilled HGV Class 2 drivers to become part of a welcoming team in the Ilkeston area. In this position, you will collaborate with a respected global logistics company on a significant contract to deliver goods to customers across the UK using a flatbed truck. Typically, you will make around 4 drops each day, but depending on the route, this could range from as few as 1 to as many as 8. NO HANDBALL is required. Additionally, our client provides an upskill program from Class 2 to Class 1 after 3 to 6 months of service.

 

Hours of work:

• Monday to Friday.
  
  
• Start times: between 04:00 – 06:00 depending on the run.
  
  
• 1-3 nights out per week (£26.20 night out allowance).
  
  
• Genuine temp to perm opportunity after the qualifying period.
  
  
• Overtime is paid after 51.75 hours (unpaid breaks).
  
  

 

What We’re Looking For:

• Ideally, we prefer experienced drivers, but we are open to considering newly qualified Class 2 drivers with relevant driving experience.
  
  
• A valid UK driving license along with CPC and Tacho.
  
  
• No more than 6 points (no DD, DR, or IN endorsements).
  
  
• A professional and safety-oriented mindset.
  
  
• Strong communication skills.
