About the Role

HGV 1 Driver Warrington: Pertemps Crewe seeks an experienced Class 1 Driver for a busy Warrington depot. This temporary role offers flexible hours with regular block bookings and ad hoc duties available throughout the year. You will safely load and unload parcels and letters from single and double-deck trailers, with some manual handling involved. Shifts average ten to twelve hours, with various start times across a 24-hour operation. The hourly rate ranges from £20.82 to £23.85 via PAYE. This position requires a valid Category C+E licence and previous driving experience.

Pertemps are looking for an experienced HGV Driver / LGV1 Driver / Class 1 Driver / C E Driver to join our client’s busy depot based in Warrington. This is an excellent opportunity to secure ongoing, regular work all year round, with competitive PAYE rates.
Regular block bookings and ADHOC duties are available with this role!
Location: Warrington
Pay rates: From £20.82 to £23.85 per hour (PAYE)
Hours: 10 – 12-hour duties
Job Type: Regular, Ongoing
Your new HGV Driver / LGV1 Driver / Class 1 Driver / C E Driver role will include:

Safely loading and unloading cages of letters and parcels
Working with both single and double-deck trailers, with some pushing and pulling involved
Average 10 - 12hour shifts
Various start times as this is a 24-hour operation

What we’re looking for in a HGV Driver / LGV1 Driver / Class 1 Driver / C E Driver:

Minimum 1 years’ HGV Class 1 driving experience, with recent Class 1 work within the last 6 months
A valid C E licence, CPC card, and digital tachograph card
A maximum of 6 penalty points (no major endorsements)
