Salary: Days: £18.26 per hour, overtime £27.39 per hour after 208 hours worked per month

             Nights: £19.03 per hour, overtime £28.55 per hour after 208 hours worked per month

Contract type: Full-time

Start Hours: Days: between 07:00AM – 09:00AM

                      Nights: between 16:00PM – 21:00PM

Start date: ASAP

Shift Duration: 10 – 12 hours – 9 hours guaranteed pay

Rota:  4 on 2 off, 4 on 2 off, 5 on 2 off, weekends included and compuslory

Number of drops:  up to 2 drops – all over the UK to depots

We’re hiring HGV1 Delivery Drivers – Wagon and Drag to join our client busy delivery team!

FTS Recruitment are looking for experienced HGV1 Drivers – Wagon and Drag to work for our customer based in Doncaster, DN3. This is an excellent opportunity to join our client professional transport team.

You will drop and swap home furniture – beds, sofas, wardrobes safely and on time, depot to depot, representing the company in a professional manner.

What You’ll Do

• Operate HGV1 – Wagon and Drag vehicle
• Will be sent with  a Drivers Mate if this is required but most of the time you will be solo
• Complete all delivery paperwork and maintain accurate records
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly
• Ensure that all duties are fulfilled to the highest standard
• Ensure that all scheduled deliveries are completed on time and in full
• Report any incidents immediately following the correct protocol
• Polite and professional at all times
• Comply with UK driving laws, tachograph rules and company safety regulations

Skills and Requirements

• Valid UK category CE licence
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Minimum age of 21
• Must not exceed maximum 6 points on your driving licence (no TT, DD, CD, IN10, MS50, UT50 or DR1)
• Good route planning and time management skills
• Reliable, professional, punctual and safety-conscious
• Minimum of 6 months HGV1 experience
