Job Description: HGV 1 Driver

An exciting opportunity to work with one of our prestigious national clients based in Donnington, Telford has become available for an HGV 1 driver.

As an HGV 1 Driver you will be responsible for:

• Driving both artic and rigid heavy goods vehicles with a variety of trailers depending on the load.
• Both internal and external deliveries.
• Handball can be involved.

To be considered for this HGV Driver role you will need:

• C E Licence - CPC DIGI Card - ADR (Desirable)
• To be able to provide last 5 years’ worth of work history (referenced)
• To have a clear enhanced DBS processed on your behalf
• Have held your C E license for at least 2 years, and have at least 6 months experience driving class 1 vehicles

OR

• Newly passed drivers will be considered following successful completion of Pertemps driving academy assessment day.
• This work is ongoing Monday to Friday for the right HGV Driver Candidate.
• Weekly bookings in advance.
• Buddy system in place for new drivers to learn the ropes.
• New well-maintained fleet of vehicles
• Potential Temp to Perm for the right HGV Driver

PAYE HGV Driver Pay Rates are as followed:

• Days - £13.12ph
• Nights - £17.45ph
• Overtime (after 48 hours) - £19.68ph
• Bank Holiday £26.24ph
