# HGV 1 Driver Location: United Kingdom (onsite/depot-based) About the roleWe are seeking a professional HGV 1 Driver to join our fleet. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient transport of goods to and from designated locations, ensuring compliance with all legal and company requirements. Key responsibilities Safely operate HGV 1 (C+E) vehicles to transport goods Conduct pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections Load and unload cargo, securing loads as required Plan routes efficiently and adhere to delivery schedules Maintain accurate driving and delivery records Assist with warehouse duties when required Ensure compliance with driver hours, tachograph, and road transport regulations Report any faults or incidents promptly to the supervisor Requirements Valid UK HGV 1 (C+E) licence and up-to-date CPC Must be able to drive lorrys Clean driving licence with no more than a few points (subject to review) Excellent knowledge of UK roads and regulations Good organisational and time-management skills Physically capable of loading/unloading and handling documentation Desirable Prior experience in a similar distribution or logistics role Knowledge of manual handling procedures and warehouse practices Digital tachograph familiarity Benefits Competitive hourly/daily rate Holiday pay and pension scheme Training and development opportunities Modern, well-maintained fleet Overtime opportunities How to applyPlease submit your CV and a brief cover letter outlining ..... full job details .....
