Job Title: Heritage & Conservation Painters

About the Role
We are seeking skilled painters to work on heritage and conservation projects. This is a unique opportunity to work on some of the UK’s most historically significant sites. Operatives will be expected to carry out a mix of preparation, repair, and painting/restoration work, always adhering to strict conservation and security standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and repair historic surfaces (wood, plaster, masonry) before painting.
• Apply paint, limewash, and other specialist finishes appropriate for heritage buildings.
• Work carefully on delicate or listed surfaces to preserve historic features.
• Maintain a professional and discreet approach on high-profile sites.

Requirements

• Proven experience in heritage or conservation painting/restoration.
• Skilled in surface preparation, traditional finishes, and paint application.
• Valid CSCS card.
• Must be eligible for security clearance.

Security Clearance

• Operatives will be issued a temporary security pass (48-hour clearance) before starting.
• Permanent security clearance required.
• Two forms of ID and Right to Work documentation required.
