The Role

As a Field Service Engineer, you''ll be responsible for carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on a range of heavy plant and construction equipment at customer sites.

You''ll be the face of the business, providing a first-class service while ensuring machines are returned to service safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair heavy plant machinery at customer sites.
• Carry out fault finding and diagnostics on mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Complete planned maintenance and reactive breakdowns.
• Diagnose faults using manufacturer diagnostic equipment where required.
• Inspect machines and identify additional repair opportunities.
• Complete all job sheets and service reports accurately.
• Work closely with the parts and service departments.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety.
• Deliver an excellent level of customer service.

You may currently be working as a:

• Heavy Plant Engineer
• Field Service Engineer
• Mobile Plant Engineer
• Construction Plant Engineer
• Plant Fitter
• Agricultural Engineer
• Mobile Service Engineer

To be successful you''ll ideally have:

• Experience diagnosing and repairing heavy plant or construction plant equipment.
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic and electrical fault-finding skills.
• The ability to work independently in the field.
• A full UK driving licence.
• A positive attitude and strong customer service skills.
