Job DescriptionThe Town of Banff is seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Transit Technicians (HET) with in-the-pit skills to ensure our regional ROAM transit buses (including ICE, hybrid, and electric) operate smoothly. Responsibilities include maintaining and repairing transit buses, adhering to safety standards, and collaborating with the Fleet team.

Qualifications

Alberta-journeyman (or equivalent red seal) certification and CVIP certification (or ability to acquire within probation)

Current Alberta Class 3Q driver’s license

Experience in vehicle repair and maintenance

Knowledge of workplace safety programs

Clear driver’s abstract and RCMP criminal background check

Compensation and Benefits

$51.00 per hour for certified red seal HETs

RRSP and LAPP retirement options

Work schedule of 40 hours/week with varied shifts, including weekends and on-call services, with the possibility of four 10-hour shifts for mid-week days off
