Heating Engineer role at The Construction Index Ltd.Responsibilities
Lead the delivery of on-site works including installations and servicing of heat pumps, hot water cylinders, and thermal storage systems.Carry out central heating system installations and repairs in domestic and commercial settings.Provide technical supervision and support to team members on-site.Diagnose and repair faults across a range of heating systems.Install, upgrade, and maintain heating, plumbing, sanitation, and HVAC systems.Ensure compliance with PAS 2030, MCS, and Gas Safe regulations.Participate in out-of-hours callouts and overtime where required.Adhere to all health and safety procedures, including hazard reporting.Complete work records via PDA or digital systems.Maintain a high standard of customer service and professionalism on every job.What You\''ll Need
Experience in the local authority or social housing sector.Strong knowledge of heating and domestic appliance installations.Proven experience with PAS 2030-compliant installs.Background in fault finding and maintenance of commercial/domestic systems.Familiarity with BMS, system controls, and press-fit pipework.Strong commitment to health and safety standards.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Essential Qualifications
NVQ Level 2/3 in Domestic Plumbing (or City and Guilds equivalent).Level 3 Award in the Installation and Maintenance of Heat Pump Systems (CandG, BPEC, or LCL Awards).G3 Unvented Hot Water Cylinder Certification.Water Regulations Certificate.Full, clean UK Driving Licence.Job Details
