ROLE: Heating & Plumbing Breakdown Engineer

SALARY: £38,000 per year

LOCATION: Stoke-on-Trent – Covering Shropshire & West Midlands

WORKING HOURS:

• 9:00am – 5:30pm, Monday to Friday (one 11:30am – 8:00pm shift in every 8 weeks)
• Requirement to work one Saturday and one Sunday per month

DUTIES:

• Install, repair, and maintain heating systems in residential and commercial properties
• Troubleshoot and diagnose faults using mechanical knowledge and technical manuals
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation
• Thread pipes and assemble system components according to specifications
• Perform heavy lifting and manual labour as required for installations and maintenance
• Drive company vehicles to deliver tools, equipment, and materials to job sites
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient project completion
• Provide general maintenance services as required

THE CANDIDATE:

• Minimum 2 years’ plumbing experience (required)
• Previous experience as a breakdown engineer (preferred)
• CCN1 Domestic Gas Safety certification (required)
• City & Guilds qualification (preferred)
• Full UK driving licence with a clean record (required)
• Strong mechanical knowledge, particularly with HVAC systems
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Proficient in pipe threading and assembly techniques
